Caetano passou a última temporada no Goiás e foi um dos responsáveis pela boa campanha do Esmeraldino no Brasileirão, que ficou em décimo terceiro lugar. O zagueiro terminou a competição sendo o vice-líder de passes (678) e interceptações (14) do Goiás, segundo o Footstats, e marcou um gol nos 26 jogos que fez durante o Campeonato Brasileiro.

O grande trunfo para Caetano ser aproveitado no Paulistão é a falta de zagueiros reservas durante a competição. Gil e Balbuena são os titulares da posição, mas Raul Gustavo está com negociações encaminhadas para defender o Cruzeiro, e o Timão não vai estender o empréstimo de Robson Bambu, que volta ao Nice em janeiro.

Robert Renan foi convocado pela Seleção Brasileira Sub-20 para disputar o campeonato Sul-Americano da categoria entre 19 de janeiro e 12 de fevereiro, e deve perder os primeiros jogos da fase de grupos do estadual. Hridoy, Jacks, Shakib, Tahir put in starring performancesComilla began and ended the week with contrasting chases. Towhid Hridoy was superb in both games, making unbeaten scores of 108 and 91. Comilla aced a 176-run chase against Dhaka with a ball remaining. Hridoy, not quite showing his form from the last season till that point, smashed the tournament’s first century while the others failed around him. His unbeaten 108 came off just 57 balls.Then, Hridoy’s 91 not out helped Comilla chase down 164 against Khulna, which they did with seven wickets and 21 balls to spare. Between these two wins, Will Jacks’ century helped Comilla equal BPL’s highest total when they made 239-3 in their big win against Chattogram.Jacks blasted ten sixes in his 108* off 53 balls, while Litton Das also scored a quick half-century. Moeen Ali struck a quick fifty and then finished off the Chattogram innings with a hat-trick. There was also enough time in the match for legspinner Rishad Hossain to take his maiden four-wicket haul. Tahir took just one wicket in his first game, but then followed it with a five-wicket haul. His celebrations have really struck a chord with the fans in Dhaka and Chattogram, and Rangpur will hope he plays a big role in the latter part of the tournament.

But they returned to win the last three games at the venue.”As far as recruitment for next year,” Flower said, “it’s a bit early to talk about that. Quite frankly, I don’t want to talk about that yet. I do think though the Chinnaswamy has some particular qualities that we need to be able to exploit. You certainly need highly skillful bowlers at Chinnaswamy. Simply pace is not going to be the answer there. You need skillful, intelligent bowlers and people that can bowl to really specific plans at Chinnaswamy”And I think we’ve all seen how the power game has affected T20 cricket recently. So on the batting front, you certainly need to recruit batsmen with that sort of power that can keep up that sort of tempo.”T20 leagues vs internationals: ‘A bit of a problem that cricket has at the moment’One batter who did give RCB that kind of tempo was Will Jacks, who helped them in their quest to up their net run-rate enough that they could beat three other teams into the playoffs. However, having got there, RCB did not have access to Jacks because he was called back to England to prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup.”It is a bit of a problem that the cricket world and the cricket calendar has at the moment,” Flower said. “We saw at the Big Bash recently, a lot of the overseas players left before the playoffs and the finals so it really devalued the tournament to a certain extent. You saw in the ILT20 as well, you saw a lot of coming and going with people that had finished in the SA20 and then came in even just for the finals of the ILT20. I think competitions have to be careful about that because the integrity of the competition is really important.”With a World Cup just around the corner, it’s very difficult. I completely understand why England wanted to recall those players. If I were England coach, I think I will be doing the same. So there are conundrums for the game that have to be ironed out. I’m not sure how with the busy-ness of the calendar at the moment. But it is a pity.”Will Jacks really hit his straps with us. He enjoyed the tournament with us and we enjoyed his power at No. 3 obviously. And it was a pity not to have him. But Cameron Green stepped into those shoes really well. [He] did really well for us, batting in a preferred position for him actually. At the moment that’s something I can’t control so we just try to make the best of it.”

تحدث قائد ريال مدريد، داني كارفاخال، عن الفارق بين مدربه السابق الإيطالي كارلو أنشيلوتي، والمدرب الحالي للفريق تشابي ألونسو.

وعلّق كارفاخال على تعاقد ريال مدريد مع ترينت ألكسندر أرنولد ليشغل مركز الظهير، في ظل الإصابة التي عانى منها اللاعب.

وقال كارفاخال في تصريحات لإذاعة “كوبي” الإسبانية: “لكل مدرب منهجيته الخاصة؛ هناك أجيال مختلفة، مع أنشيلوتي، كنا أكثر حرية؛ كنا نصل متأخرين قليلاً (للتدريبات)، على الرغم من غضبه، تشابي أكثر صرامة وانضباطًا”.

وفيما يتعلق بتعاقد ريال مدريد مع ترينت ألكسندر أرنولد من ليفربول، أفاد: “من المفهوم التعاقد مع أرنولد، كنت في الثانية والثلاثين من عمري وتعرضت لإصابة خطيرة، هذا أمر طبيعي، لن أبقى هنا للأبد، تمر السنوات، وعلينا التعاقد مع مواهب جديدة”.

وعن بقاء زميله داني سيبايوس وعدم رحيله إلى مارسيليا، استطرد كارفاخال: “أثق به ثقة كبيرة، بدا وكأنه سينتقل إلى مارسيليا، لكن الصفقة فشلت في النهاية، تحدث تشابي معه وطلب منه البقاء، مؤكدًا أنه سيعتمد عليه، فالموسم طويل جدًا”.

وأكد: “داني يمنحنا أسلوبًا مختلفًا، فهو يحب الاستحواذ على الكرة، ويمنحنا فرصة التوقف وعدم فقدانها، ويمنحنا بديلًا مختلفًا في وسط الملعب، والمدرب يعلم أنه فريد من نوعه في هذا الجانب”.

كارفاخال تطرق أيضًا للحديث عن أغنية سيرجيو راموس قائد ريال مدريد السابق، والذي دخل عالم الغناء، وأشارت كلمات الأغنية إلى كواليس رحيله عن ريال مدريد ويقول خلالها “هناك أشياء ما زالت تؤلمني، لم أرغب في الرحيل أبدًا، لكن طُلب مني ذلك”.

وأتم: “لا أريد الخوض في التفاصيل، مهما قلتُ، سأواجه صعوبة، لقد كنتُ معه لسنوات طويلة، وأعلم أن الموسيقى مهمة جدًا بالنسبة له، وهو يستمتع بها، أوضح سيرجيو أن رحيله عن النادي هو قراره، وإذا أجرى مقابلةً يومًا ما، فعليه أن يشرح السبب والكيفية”.
